By installing or using FaceTrap you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. FaceTrap is operated by DevFact.
FaceTrap may be used only on a device you own, or one you are explicitly authorised to manage. You confirm this during setup.
You may not use FaceTrap to monitor another person without their knowledge and consent. In most jurisdictions that is a criminal offence, not merely a breach of these terms. We will terminate accounts used this way, and we will cooperate with lawful requests concerning them.
You are responsible for complying with the law where you live, including any rules on photographing people. Employers and parents in particular may have disclosure obligations.
FaceTrap attempts to capture a photo after a failed unlock and deliver it to recipients you configure. We work hard at reliability, but we cannot guarantee that every attempt produces a usable photo or that every alert arrives. Capture depends on your device's hardware, its manufacturer's power management, available battery, and network conditions — none of which we control.
Do not rely on FaceTrap as your only security measure, and do not rely on it in a situation where a missed capture would cause you serious harm.
You are responsible for your credentials and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe it has been compromised. Recipient addresses must be confirmed by code before they can receive anything.
Premium features are sold through Google Play and billed by Google under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions. Refunds follow Google Play's policy.
Deleting your FaceTrap account does not cancel a Play subscription — cancel it separately or it will keep renewing.
Captures are yours. We claim no ownership. We store and transmit them solely to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or permanently delete them at any time.
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice in the app for material changes affecting paid features.
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss arising from a capture that failed or was not delivered, or for any theft, intrusion or damage FaceTrap did not prevent. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, in particular section 2.
We may update these terms. The date above will change, and material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect.
